60–80% gives a strong size reduction with little visible difference for most photos. Go lower for thumbnails or previews, and higher when you need to preserve fine detail.
PNG is a lossless format, so the quality slider has limited effect on it. For photos, converting the output to JPG or WebP will usually give a much smaller file.

Resizing reduces the pixel dimensions, not sharpness at that new size. It’s one of the most effective ways to cut file size for images that are larger than you actually need.
