A scanner that finishes the job, not just decodes the code
Most QR scanners stop at “here’s the text.” That’s rarely useful on its own — a WiFi code is just a jumble of characters, a contact card is a wall of vCard syntax, and a plain link still needs a tap to open. This scanner reads the underlying format and turns it into something you can actually act on: a network to join, a contact to save, a number to call, a map to open.
Scanning works two ways. Use your device’s rear camera for a live, continuous scan — hold a code in frame and it decodes the instant it’s recognized, no shutter press required. Or upload a screenshot or photo if the code is on your screen, in your gallery, or too far away for the camera to reach.
Once a code is decoded, the result card gives you the next step: open the link, connect to the WiFi, save the contact, dial the number, or view the location, depending on what was encoded. You can also copy the raw text, download the whole result as a shareable PNG or JPG image, or turn it right back into a QR code to pass along.
Sharing is built in rather than bolted on. A single tap sends the result to WhatsApp, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Telegram or email — or through your device’s native share sheet if it supports one — so a scanned result can move on to wherever it’s actually needed.
Everything happens in your browser. The camera feed, the uploaded image and the decoded text are processed locally to draw the result on your screen — nothing is uploaded to a server or stored anywhere once you leave the page.
Common questions
No. It runs directly in your browser using your device’s camera — no app to install and no account to create.
No. The camera frame or uploaded image is decoded entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded or stored once you leave the page.
Yes. After a scan, the “Download result” section lets you save the decoded result as a PNG or JPG card, or re-download it as a fresh QR code.
Use the share row under any result to send it straight to WhatsApp, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Telegram or email, or use your device’s native share sheet if it’s available.
You can always upload an image of the code instead — drag and drop it or choose it from your gallery, and it will decode the same way.
Website links, WiFi networks, contact cards, calendar events, emails, phone numbers, SMS, map locations, WhatsApp chats, Bitcoin payments and plain text are all recognized and formatted automatically.
